School Choir
Choir meets once a week on a Friday lunchtime. It is open to anyone in Key Stage 2 and we are often preparing for concerts that we are taking part in.
This term we are preparing to sing at the Pentecost act of worship and at an afternoon we are organising for the more elderly members of our community.
Below are the links to the songs that the children are learning in school for these events:

SINGING AT THE VICAR'S RETIREMENT DO
On 12th February 2023, our choir performed one of their favourite songs at the retirement do being held for our Vicar, Canon Steve Mansfield. They sang from the choir stalls in front of the congregation and were amazing. Thank you parents and children for giving your time to say farewell to our Vicar
ZAMBIA CAROL CONCERT
On Thursday 15th December, our school choir, along with 4 other schools choirs, met at The Bishops' Blue Coat CofE High School to perform a concert for parents. The concert was in aid of raising money for 2 schools we support in Zambia and we raised £360. The other schools involved were: Guilden Sutton Priamry, St Oswalds Primary, Upton Westlea and The Bishops' Blue Coat High School. The children were amazing and sand beautifully.
SING THE CHRISTMAS STORY 2022
On the 1st December 2022, we took the choir to Sing the Christmas Story at St Thomas and All Saints Church in Ellesmere Port.
We listened to the Christmas Story and sang songs with the other schools there. We also performed the song 'Unto Us' for the other schools. The choir were amazing and sang beautifully.
A special thank you to Mrs Newton, Mrs Howard and Mrs Hand for coming with us and helping make sure the children were safe.
PAST SINGING EXPERIENCES
We have been involved in a number of fantastic singing projects recently, including:
-singing at the StoryHouse theatre along with lots of other schools for the AmaSing concert;
-singing at Liverpool Cathedral with over 300 other people to open the Educate Awards.
-singing at Chester Cathedral every year with schools from around the county, re-telling the Christmas story in song
-singing with the choirs from St Oswald’s School in Mollington, Guilden Sutton Primary School, Upton Westlea Primary School and The Bishop's Blue Coat High School to raise money for the children in Zambia.
-singing for the older members of our local community as part of their special Christmas lunch
-singing at a special 25th anniversary of a group that meets in the Scout Hut
-performing a special concert at the request of the Lord Mayor.
We sing lots of songs, including requests from the children, popular music, songs from films and songs that link to our school termly values. If your child is interested in joining choir then all they need to do is speak to Mrs Fabby.
