The Great Big Dance Off - Saughall become National Finalists!

On Thursday 9th March, after weeks of rehearsals, the #SAS dance competition team were ready to perform in the North West Regional Heats of The Great Big Dance Off Competition and made their way to Parr Hall in Warrington and what an amazing day it was!

The children enjoyed being part of an outstanding day, not only performing on a professional stage but also enjoying watching 19 other schools compete in a high quality competition. Saughall’s performance was outstanding and had the audience on their feet clapping and cheering. Once the children had performed their routine there was then an agonising wait to hear the results at the end of the competition. There was a lot at stake with only the top 3 primary schools in the North West going through to the National Finals in Oxford in June.

Fortunately for Saughall All Saints it was amazing news…they had been placed in the top 3 by all 3 judges with one judge placing them in first place overall. This meant only one thing – a place in the National Dance Final of ‘The Great Big Dance Competition 2017.’

Dance is an amazing outlet to help build confidence and self-esteem and for the children who have been part of this amazing opportunity, they really have experienced something special. However, the journey does not stop here and the children, parents and staff at Saughall All Saints can now look forward to competing in the Grand Final of the Great Big Dance Off 2017……watch this space!
