Termly Values

This term, the Christian values are Trust and Forgiveness 

The memory verses are:

Proverbs 11:3 “If you are good, you are guided by honesty. People who can't be trusted are destroyed by their own dishonesty.”

Ephesians 4:32 "Instead, be kind and merciful, and forgive others, just as God forgave you because of Christ."

The classes begin each term by discussing these values and completing some work linked to each for their class reflective corners. This term, we have designing T-shirts, hearts and flowers with synonyms of trust and forgiveness on, or drawing images of times when we have trusted or forgiven someone.

Each term, the classes also write prayers that link to the termly values and things that are in the news at that moment. These prayers are placed in prayer pockets or on the Reflective Corner displays and are chosen from for end of the day prayers. Here are some examples of the prayers the children have written:

Dear God,

Thank you for people we trust and if we sin, we pray that people will forgive us.

In your name we praye these things,

Amen

Dear God,

Thank you for everything we have today!

Please help us to know who to trust. 

Please let people forgive what they have done in the past.

Please be kind to people around us.

Amen

Dear God,

Please make sure we can all count on someone to help us when we fail but make sure we always carry on, even when times are tough.

I hope we all know who to trust and who will help us during these tough times.

Dear God,

Please help us to keep going.

Please help us to persevere with thing swe find hard and never giving up.

In your name we pray these things.

Let us have harmony and rest and sleep.

It's the end of the day, it's time to chill.

Dear Lord,

Please let our world be the best that it can be and don't let anyone change themselves because they are perfect the way they are. 

Let peace roam around the world for everyone and forever.

Lete everyone be different  but everyone get treated the same.

Humility and Service Prayers

Summer 2024

Dear God,

Thank you for friends and family

And thank you for doctors and nurses and people who show humility and service

And love your neighbours as yourself.

In your name we pray these things

Dear Lord,

Thank you for helping us help charities.

Thank you for people being humble.

Please help us be humble.

Thankfulness and Compassion prayers

Spring 2024

Dear Lord,

You had compassion for your people and sent Jesus as a sacrifice for all the things we do wrong. Thank you for forgiving us when we say sorry for our mistakes. 

Thank you for sending you message down in the Holy Trinity as God teh Fatehr, God the Son and God the Holy Spirit.

How Jesus, when he left and ascended into heaven, showed compassion and sent the Holy Spirit to help us.

Amen.

Heavenly Father, I thank you for today. Thank you for forgiving me my sins. Help me to always do what is right. help me to be nice to others and be a good kid. Amen.

Dear God,

Thank you for all the good things happening to people. But we pray you'll help those in need too. The people in Turkey and Syria suffereing from earthquakes and those with sickness or illness around the world. I hope you help Iceland with volcanoes and keep them safe. Thank you for keeping us safe and in your Name we pray these things.

Thank you for all you do. Thank you for love. You are the best. Amen.

Dear Lord,

We thank you for all our friends and the lovely teamwork in our class. Help us to show kindness and respect to everyone every day. Help us to remember that we are all part of a special team.
