JOINT CAROL CONCERT 2024

All choirs practise2.jpg

For the last 3 years, we have joined together with 4 other schools (Guilden Sutton Primary, The Bishop's Blue Coat High School, Doddleston Primary and Hoole Primart) to perform a wonderful Christmas Carol Concert. We do this so that we can have the experience of singing with other schools, but also to raise money for a chosen charity that is close to our hearts: this year we chose to raise money for Macmillan Cancer Suppport.

The concert took place on Thursday 19th December at The Bishop's Blue Coat High School and the children sang amazingly. We particularly enjoyed singing 'Oh What a Glorious Night' to finish our concert, something that has become an annual event.

Altogether we raised £328.57 and we received this lovely message from Macmillan:

You are amazing

Thank you so much for holding your recent choral event and raising an amazing £‎328.57 for Macmillan Cancer Support. We appreciate that there are so many amazing charities out there you could choose to support, and we are so grateful that you chose to support Macmillan on this occasion. We hope you all had a fantastic time, and that you’ll pass on our thanks to everyone who helped to make it a success. Your generosity, effort and enthusiasm will allow us to help more people living with cancer. You are all superstars!

To give you an idea of how this generous donation could make a difference, £315 can cover the costs of room hire for a year and refreshments for a cancer support group to provide peer support in a community. This is an incredible contribution to Macmillan, and we can't thank you enough!

Whatever it takes

Everyone diagnosed with cancer, regardless of who they are and where they live, deserves high quality care that addresses their needs. We simply could not do what we do without the generosity of our supporters. Your donation will help us to do whatever it takes to be there for the people who need us, and we are truly grateful.

We would like to say a big thank you to all the parents who came and supported us on the evening and for the support you provide in the lead up to the concert with helping your children practise the songs.

AMASING!

We had so much fun at AmaSing the past 2 years that we decided to go again. This time the concert was at the Cathedral and it was a magical experience. The 2 pictures are from our rehearsals in the afternoon but the evening event was even more special and amazing. There were hundreds of children split over 2 stages and the singing was phenomenal. We look forward to next year's event.
