PRAYER SPACES DAY 2024

YEAR 5/6

Andy Avery came and led Year 5/6 in prayer spaces activities linked to our termly values of Thankfulness and Compassion. 

Here are some of the evaluation comments that the children wrote for Andy about the day:

It made me realise how thankful I should be so I’m going to teach my cousins to be thankful too.

'The activities calmed me which helped me to think about what I can do to help people'

'They made me realise what I can do to show compassion and not just feel it'

'It helped me understand what we are talking about in worship this term'

'It made me see how thankful I really am for so many things'

'It gave me space to pray'

Prayer Spaces Day

We have been very fortunate to have Andy Avery come in and work with each class on prayer spaces.

“Prayer Spaces in Schools enable children and young people, of all faiths and none, to explore life questions, spirituality and faith in a safe, creative and interactive way.” (from www.prayerspacesinschools.com)

The children took part in lots of different activities linked to our termly value of perseverance and they had a fantastic time.
