Reception Mini-Kickers Tournament

Reception Mini-Kickers Tournament 9th November 2017

Last Thursday the Reception children went to their mini-kickers tournament at Blacon High School. The team were drawn in a group with 5 other schools in Pool 2. After some very close games we finished second in the group, winning four games and losing just one. We won our semi-final 2-0 with Layton scoring a fantastic first goal.

The final was a very tight match (against the team we'd lost to earlier that evening) and after taking a 2-0 lead let the opposition equalize with the final kick of the game, to leave the result 2-2. However, with both teams playing so well it was decided that leaving the final result as a draw was fair and both teams were declared the Winners of the evenings tournament.

Well done all the children who took part from Saughall, Miss Ward and I were very proud of you all and you wore your badge with pride all evening.
